A tough week for our carers keeping everyone safe and dry in this Biggest wet August in 16 years. Back slaps to all the Carers out there battling away helping the clients go about their daily lives. Ok for the bridge players but the golfing clients are missing out.
Not everyone knows we help take out people AND their dogs - It came about when one of our clients contacted us to ask if we would arrange for one of our carers to bring his girlfriend of 30 years and her lovely Bichon Frise from her home each week on a Saturday to his home and then come back on the Sunday afternoon to take them home. The small dog would be in a pet travel case. The carers looked after them for over two years taking them back and forth.
So this week we sent an email to one of the carers who looked after the above-mentioned client, to ask if he would pick up Jane and Diana collie from the city to take them home, HOWEVER without the comma and capital C in Collie our driver thought Jane had a Border Collie called Diana and said he would do the booking as long as the collie was well behaved - Collie is Dianas' surname....and Diana our client is 99 years old and very well behaved!
